Meet Tillandsia Xerographica - The Queen (or King) of Air Plants

Get ready to meet the royalty of the air plant world - Xerographica! Whether you refer to it as the King or Queen of air plants, there's no denying its majestic presence. Xerographica grow in nature by attaching themselves to trees, where they are sheilded from heavy rain and receive mottled light.

Tillandsia Xerographica is a large and captivating air plant that can live for over 20 years in it's natural habitat or with proper care. Its mature form boasts a large, round floret shape, making it a stunning addition to any space. It can span over 24 inches across, and grow tendrils of over 3 feet! With its curly tendrils and unique structure, this circular air plant is sure to turn heads and spark conversation.

One thing that sets Xerographica apart is its rarity. It has been listed on CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species), highlighting the importance of protecting this remarkable species. While not extinct, its limited availability adds to its allure and makes it even more special.  In the 80's and 90's, Xerographica were oftenpoached from it's natural habitat, however, they are now nursery grown.

Rainbow Cupboard carries 4, sometimes 5, sizes of xerographica.  We can also discuss ways for you to display your xerographica.  Our most requested display is hanging xerographica from twine, allowing the tendrils to fall into long spirals as they grow.  Have you seen our custom wedding bouquets that we create using xerographica?  Air Plant bouquets!

Whether you're an avid collector or simply want to add a touch of elegance to your surroundings, consider welcoming Xerographica into your home or office. It's an extraordinary air plant that reigns supreme in beauty and longevity - fit for any botanical kingdom!
